Admissions

Requirements:

  • This program is 60 credits (48 if you have an SBL/SDL certificate) at $890 per credit.
  • No GRE required
  • 48-60 credit program, with 2 short residency requirements in the NYC area
  • Can be completed in 3 years
  • There is a $70 technology fee per semester (three times per year), which is the only other fee aside from the cost of books.
  • If you proceed normally with your cohort, your tuition is frozen at the starting price.
  • If you have an SBL, you can finish the program in 48 credits and about 2 years
  • Please note, you cannot obtain your SBL or SDL through this program. If you would like your SBL or SDL, you must earn your SBL or SDL  first through a NY State-approved institution, and then you may transfer up to 12 credits in. Prospective students must:

  • Hold a master’s degree from an accredited university
  • Have earned a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in one’s master’s coursework. Lower GPA will be considered on an individual basis.

Ed.D. Admission Process:

  • Online application — fill out the form below for access. We will send you the link.
  • Official transcripts from a regionally accredited institution or institutions that awarded your master’s degree and any post-master’s credits
    • Please mail transcripts to:

    • Transcripts may be sent electronically to us via secure electronic transfer or to admission@cuw.edu.  Please note: In order for transcripts to be considered official, they must be sent to Concordia directly from the school itself.

  • Letter of Intent (no more than two pages) providing evidence for consideration to be admitted to the LICI program. The Letter of Intent should focus on leadership, innovation and continuous improvement as well as reasons for choosing CU and one’s commitment to degree completion.
  • Example of scholarly writing from graduate-level courses or other work
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Two letters of recommendation from professional sources.
